Our Moon

You bring us sunlight in the night
Our only natural satellite
I am inclined to call it moonshine
But that might just be out of line!
Your pulling force exceeds the sun's
In spite of size much smaller
How can this make sense to me?...
...Because you're so much closer
For rising water by our shores
Fundy Spring tides set the mark
The moon keeps tugging on our skin
There's ebb and flow in light and dark
This balance is so delicate
For coastal people everywhere
Some things on land may disappear
With minor changes way up there!

--by Peter Elias

This poem  is about the moon and how it is affecting our planet and the people on it. The poem is also about how the smallest changes in your life can change every thing like a death and how people can come out of the hole they get in from one of the things. This poem relates to me because I also am very interested in  space and how outer space objects affect the World . This also relates to me because I relate to the author when he is saying that
"Some things on land may disappear
With minor changes way up there!"

He is talking about how many things affect people no matter how big or small.
